Ranked after Ram Janmabhoomiand Hanuman Garhi Fort, Kanak Bhawan stands out as one of the most renowned and revered temples in Ayodhya. Positioned northeast of Ram Janmabhoomi, legend has it that Queen Kaikeyi presented this Bhawan to Mata Sita immediately after her marriage to Lord Ram. A notable aspect of this temple is its renovation, which was entirely carried out by Muslim workers, adding to its unique historical significance.

What to Expect
Kanak Bhawan, also known as the Golden Temple or Sone ka Ghar, is renowned for housing three golden-crowned idols of Lord Ram and Mata Sita beneath a silver roof. Renovated by Queen Vrishbhanu Kunwari of Tikamgarh in 1891, the temple also features idols of three deities: Kanak Bihari, Manak Bihari, and Jugal Bihari.
